Key things we want you to know

Methodology: Microscope-tested Aerated Compost Tea (ACT) formulation.

Available Sizes: 5-Gallon Kits (Single, 3-Pack, 5-Pack, 10-Pack) & 50-Gallon Commercial Kits (Single, Double Brew).

Biological Impact: Supplies active bacteria, fungi, protozoa, and beneficial nematodes to the root zone and foliage.

What Is Included

Each kit includes pre-measured, high-quality microbial compost packaged in a mesh brew bag alongside specialized microbial foods (kelp meal, fish hydrolysate, and mineral catalysts) engineered to maximize fungal and bacterial diversity during brewing.

Step-by-Step Brewing Instructions

  1. Fill Container: Fill a 5-gallon bucket or 50-gallon tank with rainwater or de-chlorinated tap water. Connect a high-output air pump to maintain high dissolved oxygen levels throughout the brew cycle.
  2. Add Kit Components: Place the mesh compost bag directly into the water and pour in the loose bag of microbial food.
  3. Brewing Duration: Run your aeration system continuously for 18 to 36 hours.
  4. Application Window: For maximum viability, apply your finished compost tea within 4 hours after turning off aeration.

Need more than 5 gallons? You can brew a concentrated batch in a 5-gallon bucket and dilute it with de-chlorinated water, or step up to our 50-gallon commercial equipment.

Application Methods & Frequency

Aerated Compost Tea can be applied as a foliar spray across the canopy or as a soil drench around the root zone:

  • Application Tools: Use a standard watering can, gravity-fed hose, or a low-pressure sump pump. Microscope evaluations confirm that single-pass sump pumps do not harm beneficial microbes.
  • Foliar Spray Technique: Spray with large droplet size and low pressure (a gentle "rainbow" pattern) to protect living organisms.
  • Application Frequency: For new gardens or farms, apply 5 times per season (approx. 1 pint per plant as a soil drench). Established living soil systems can apply anywhere from weekly to 3 times per year based on crop requirements.

Storage & Moisture Maintenance

Store unopened kits in a cool, dark location (such as a basement). Avoid refrigerators or freezers, which dry out compost. Check unused compost periodically and add a few drops of de-chlorinated water if needed to keep it at optimal moisture.
