Beneficial Steinernema Feltiae Nematodes for Biological Pest Control

NEMAforce™ SF contains live Steinernema feltiae beneficial nematodes — a highly effective biological control for fungus gnats, thrips, shore flies, and other soil-dwelling pests commonly found in greenhouses, indoor grows, nurseries, gardens, and field production.

These entomopathogenic nematodes actively seek out insect larvae and pupae below the media surface, releasing a naturally occurring symbiotic bacteria (Xenorhabdus spp.) that kills host insects within 24–48 hours.

How It Works

Steinernema feltiae are intermediate foragers that live primarily within the top 1–2 inches of growing media. Once they locate a host insect, they enter through natural openings and release symbiotic bacteria that quickly kill the pest. The nematodes then reproduce and continue searching for additional hosts.

Application Guidelines

• Optimal soil temperature: 50–78°F
• Apply with standard spray equipment or irrigation injection systems
• Keep media moist before and after application
• Maintain constant agitation during mixing and spraying
• Remove filters finer than 50 mesh from equipment
• Use cool, clean water and avoid direct sunlight during application

For foliar applications, apply during low light or overcast conditions and maintain high humidity afterward for best results.

Storage & Handling

This product contains living organisms and must be handled properly.

• Refrigerate immediately upon arrival at 41°F (5°C)
• Do not freeze
• Use promptly and before expiration date
• Once opened, use the entire tray immediately
