Ensure your cultivation inputs are clean, compliant, and ready for cultivation with our Heavy Metals Soil Test, conducted in partnership with Cannabis ChemLab.

Cannabis ChemLab uses state-of-the-art instrumentation in an ISO:17025-accredited laboratory to test soil, fertilizers, and cultivation inputs (including water and other liquids), for toxic metals that can affect both plant health and consumer safety. Heavy metals can accumulate through soil, water, or nutrients—impacting crop quality and regulatory compliance.

We test for the four primary metals of concern:

  • Arsenic (As) – linked to cardiovascular issues and increased cancer risk; may inhibit plant growth and nutrient uptake.

  • Cadmium (Cd) – accumulates in soil and plant tissue, leading to kidney and bone damage in humans and reduced plant productivity.

  • Lead (Pb) – a potent neurotoxin harmful to both plants and humans, often introduced through contaminated soil or water.

  • Mercury (Hg) – causes neurological and kidney damage and can persist long-term in soil ecosystems, disrupting microbial balance.
